STi dream comes true in Japan

Subaru Tecnica International (STi) has turned a concept into reality, by making a production car based on the Impreza WRX type RA STi Electra One that starred at this years Melbourne Motor Show.
The Limited Edition Impreza S201 STi Version draws heavily on Electra One styling and technical cues, plus those of the WRX type RA STi Version VI.

Only 300 S201s are being produced, all in silver and purely for the Japanese domestic market.
The two-litre boxer engine produces 221 kW.
The S201 is priced at 3.9 million Yen in the Japanese market.

Among the styling cues taken from Electra One are a front air dam skirt and two-stage rear spoiler, for lower wind resistance and improved down force.

The interior includes a blue trimmed instrument cluster, blue centre console with limited edition numbering, blue STI sports front seats, Subaru logo embedded in the gear stick and black Momo airbag steering wheel with red stitching.

The large diameter exhaust features the STi logo on the stainless steel finish and revised suspension components are finished in STis traditional pink.

Various engine components have a red crackle finish. Brakes and wheel are enhanced in line with the S201s performance
